Spring always sneaks up on me a little. One day I’m fully in winter mode...inside, slower, just kind of doing my thing...and the next I’m outside barefoot in the yard with coffee in hand, thinking, “oh… we’re back.”
It feels like I’m coming out of a little hibernation. And honestly, this season feels like a bit of a reintroduction, too.
Hi, I’m Kristin.
I’m a photographer based in Conifer, Colorado. I live up here in the mountains with my husband Matt, our two kids, and our giant dog who is convinced he’s tiny.
I photograph both personal brands and families, but really…I just love capturing people as they are. The real stuff. The in-between moments. The laughs, the chaos, the calm.
That’s the kind of story that actually sticks.
Winter Was a “Digging In” Season
This winter wasn't exactly...winter. We had our moments, but overall it felt a little lighter, a little shorter, a little less “snowed in” than usual.
But even without a full-on winter season, it still felt like a time of digging in for me. Slowing down a bit. Thinking more. Letting things sit instead of rushing into the next thing. The kind of growth you don’t really see right away, but you know it’s happening.
And now spring is here, and it feels like things are starting to move again.

The Verse I Keep Coming Back To
There’s a verse that’s been sitting with me lately:
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16
To me, this isn’t about being loud or perfect or having it all together.
It’s about showing up as you are.
For my branding clients, that looks like actually being seen in your business. Not hiding behind your logo, not waiting until everything is “ready,” but letting people connect with you.
For families, it’s the same thing. Letting go of perfect and just being present. Letting your kids be wild. Letting the moment be what it is.
Your light doesn’t have to be polished. It just has to be real.
These New Photos Feel Like This Season
Last year I had photos taken by Sarah Virginia Co, and they feel very… this version of me.
At home. In the basement. In the garden. Barefoot in the yard.
Nothing overly styled. Not trying too hard. Just real life, in a really beautiful way. That’s the energy I’m bringing into this next season of my business, too.
Moving Into Spring
So yeah… this is me, stepping into spring. A little more grounded. A little more clear. Still playful, still me, but more rooted in what actually matters.
If you’re a business owner, this is your nudge to show up. If you’re a family, this is your reminder that your story right now is worth capturing. And for all of us… maybe it’s just about letting our light show up a little more, exactly as it is.
I have a few branding sessions open this spring, and I’ll be opening up more family sessions as we head into summer here in Colorado.
If this season feels like your moment to step in front of the camera - whether for your business or your family - I’d love to capture it with you. Connect with me!
