Angie, Wizzy Fizzies founder | Denver brand session with McGlone Photography
Can we take a second to appreciate moms who build things? Not in some perfectly curated, everything-is-polished kind of way. In the real way. Moms who are managing kids and inventory and competitors and keeping going anyway.
That's Angie.
Where Wizzy Fizzies started
Angie created Wizzy Fizzies because her son was resistant to potty training and she didn't want to force it. She turned it into a game he could enjoy, and it worked. What started as a solution for one stubborn toddler became a product she knew other moms needed too.
Now her son is fully potty trained, and they use Wizzy Fizzies to make color potions together. They took them to Disney World. The product is live on Amazon, and Angie built the whole thing herself: the business setup, the sourcing, the marketing, and all the design work.
The part that was actually hard
The tactical side came naturally to Angie. Launching didn't scare her. What was hard was having a competitor come after her, dealing with bad reviews, and learning to let go of what she couldn't control.
"I had to accept that I can't help everyone... I didn't make this product for my competitors. It won't work for everyone. So I kept moving forward."
She's on her fourth inventory purchase. She kept going, and that matters.
What the session looked like
We connected in May and finally made the session happen in October at Belmar Photo Studio in Lakewood, Colorado, which is just how it goes when you're running a business and raising kids at the same time. When we got together, Angie showed up ready. She wanted the real story: her kids, her brand, her life, all of it together in the same frame.
So that's what we made. We dyed sneakers with fizzy stars and swirling colors. Kids were moving and laughing and completely in their element. There was chaos and stillness and a lot of joy, and we made space for Angie as a business owner, not just a mom, because that's the truth of who she is.
"As time goes on, I'll forget all the challenges, but the memories of the photo shoot will last forever. We did it together, and it will stay frozen in time."
That's the whole reason I do this work.
Seeing it live on Amazon
When I asked Angie what it felt like to see her brand photos woven into her Amazon listing, she said something that has stayed with me.
"I was able to create a story and feelings for parents potty training, and that is powerful. It's all just very personal and authentic to me."
Personal and authentic. That's exactly what brand photography is supposed to do: not make you look like a brand, but make you feel like yourself.
Angie, watching you build something this real has been such a gift. You showed up for your business, your kids, and this session with so much heart. I'm proud of what we made together.
If you're a small business owner in Denver, Littleton, Lakewood, Evergreen, Conifer, Morrison, Pine, or Bailey and you're ready for images that actually feel like you, I'd love to hear your story.
