ROOTED IN STORY, LIT BY PURPOSE | MCGLONE PHOTOGRAPHY, DENVER FOOTHILLS

If you’ve ever found yourself staring at your website thinking, “These photos don’t even look like me anymore,” this one is for you.

A Mini Branding Session is designed for small business owners who need a focused collection of current, intentional brand images without the depth or time commitment of a full branding session. You do not always need to tell every part of your brand story at once. Sometimes, you simply need fresh images that reflect who you are, where your business is now, and how you want people to feel when they encounter your work.

What Is a Mini Branding Session?

A Mini Branding Session is a thirty-minute personal branding photography session created around the images you need most right now.

For the September 24 Mini Branding Day, you’ll have:

  • A thirty-minute photography session with Kristin
  • Up to two thoughtfully chosen looks
  • Professional, camera-ready makeup and hair touch-ups by Melissa Holtzclaw of Alpine Beauty
  • A beautifully styled Denver foothills location
  • A lightly edited proof gallery of approximately thirty to forty images
  • Five images of your choice with final retouching
  • Behind-the-scenes video clips you can use for social media from Kiley Howard of Kurated by Kiley

It is a focused experience, but focused does not mean rushed or generic.

You will receive guidance throughout your session, from what to wear and bring to how to move, where to look, and what to do with your hands. My job is not simply to take a few polished photos of you. It is to create the kind of space where you can relax, come alive, and recognize yourself in the images we create.

So, how do you know whether a Mini Branding Session is right for you?

1. Your Website No Longer Reflects Your Business

Your business has grown. Your offers have changed. You have become clearer and more confident in the work you do. But your website is still introducing people to a version of you from three years ago.

Maybe you avoid sending people to your About page. Maybe you keep using the same two headshots because nothing else feels current. Or maybe the photos are technically fine, but they no longer carry the energy of the business you are building today.

You may not need to create an entirely new visual library. You may simply need a focused collection of current, on-brand images that reflect the person and business your clients are meeting now.

2. You Are Launching a New Business or Offer

You are building the website, setting up your social accounts, creating the sales deck, and trying to bring an idea to life. There is only one problem: you have no professional photos of yourself actually doing the work.

A Mini Branding Session can give you a strong foundation with an updated headshot, a few natural working images, thoughtful details, and candid content that helps people begin connecting with the person behind the business.

You do not need to pretend you have it all figured out. You just need imagery that helps you show up with the confidence and purpose already behind what you are creating.

3. Your Business Has Changed

Maybe you changed your niche. Maybe the service that once defined your business is no longer the work that lights you up. Maybe your brand has become softer, bolder, more grounded, more playful, or more refined.

Your images should support the direction you are moving, not hold you to an earlier version of your work.

A Mini Branding Session gives you an opportunity to visually mark that shift. Through your clothing, setting, props, expressions, and movement, we can create images that feel connected to who you are becoming.

4. You Are Running Out of Content That Feels Like You

Sometimes you do not need a full rebrand. You simply need more to work with. You need images for an upcoming email, sales page, speaking announcement, social media post, or offer you have been meaning to share. You need enough variety that you are not posting the same headshot every other week or scrolling through your phone hoping to find something usable.

A Mini Branding Session can help you build a focused folder of photos and behind-the-scenes clips that work together. The goal is not content for the sake of content. It is to give you visual tools that make showing up feel easier, more consistent, and more like YOU.

5. You Have Been Putting Off New Brand Photos

You know you need updated photos. You have probably known for a while. But planning an entire branding session feels like a lot. You are not sure what to wear, what to bring, how to pose, or whether you will feel comfortable in front of the camera.

This may be exactly where a mini makes sense. The session is short enough to feel approachable, but intentional enough to create meaningful variety. Your camera-ready makeup and hair touch-ups are taken care of. The location is already chosen. I will help you prepare your looks, decide what to bring, and guide you throughout our time together.

You do not have to arrive knowing how to be good in front of the camera. You only have to arrive as yourself.

What Should You Bring to a Mini Branding Session?

You do not need an entire prop closet or an elaborate setup. The best props are not there to fill the frame. They help your audience understand something about how you work, what you create, or what it feels like to work with you.

Depending on your business, that might include:

  • A laptop, iPad, journal, or favorite pen for a coach, consultant, or creative
  • A camera for a photographer
  • A favorite mug, cut fruit, or simple ingredients for a nutrition or wellness brand
  • Your own book or a small stack of meaningful titles if you are an author or educator
  • A gua sha tool, a few herbs, or another tool you genuinely use in your work
  • Printed materials, product samples, or brand details that help tell your story

One or two meaningful items are usually enough.

Because we have thirty minutes together, everything we bring should be simple to set up, visually connected to your brand, and purposeful within the images we are creating.

What Should You Wear?

Start with pieces that feel like you. Reach for your brand colors, but do not feel as though you need to dress like your logo. Choose clothing that fits well, helps you feel confident, and reflects how you want clients to experience you.

Skip extremely busy patterns and prominent logos unless boldness is an intentional part of your brand. Texture, layers, accessories, and a quick jacket or sweater change can create variety without requiring an entirely different outfit.

Most importantly, do not choose something simply because you think it looks “professional.” The goal is not to turn you into a polished stock-photo version of yourself. The goal is to help you look confident, alive, and completely at home in your own brand.

How the Location Supports Your Brand

The setting of a branding session is never just a backdrop. A bright, minimal room creates a different feeling than a warm kitchen, a creative studio, or a dark and intimate space. The colors, light, textures, and furniture all become part of the visual story.

That is why I choose each Mini Branding Day location intentionally. Not every location will fit every brand, and that is okay. I share the space and styling ahead of time so you can decide whether it feels aligned with the energy of your work.

The September 24 Mini Branding Day will take place in a modern retreat-style home in the Denver foothills. The space is light, clean, and streamlined, with a neutral black-and-white palette. It is especially well suited to coaches, consultants, wellness professionals, creatives, and service-based business owners whose brands feel polished, calm, modern, and grounded.

Is Thirty Minutes Really Enough?

Yes, when we are clear about what we want those thirty minutes to accomplish. A Mini Branding Session is intentionally focused. We are not trying to photograph every part of your business or create an entire website’s worth of distinct brand stories in one session.

Instead, we identify the images you need most, choose one or two looks that support your brand, bring only the most meaningful props, and create as much thoughtful variety as possible within one location. If you need multiple locations, several visual storylines, client interactions, or a comprehensive image library built around your marketing strategy, a full branding experience may be the better fit.

You can explore the differences in my guide to full versus Mini Personal Branding Sessions.

But if what you need is a current, versatile collection of images that helps you show up again, thirty intentional minutes can make a meaningful difference.

Ready for Brand Photos That Feel Like You Again?

If you recognize yourself somewhere in this list, the September 24 Mini Branding Day may be exactly the refresh your business needs.

You will have thirty intentional minutes in a beautifully styled Denver foothills home, camera-ready makeup and hair touch-ups, guidance from beginning to end, and a focused collection of images created to help you feel confident showing up for your business.

Because your business has grown. Your photos should feel alive with who you are now.
