The Heart & Soul JULIE SIMS DESIGNS

There’s a calm confidence that fills the room when Julie Sims starts creating. Her tools are laid out neatly, the hum of the torch steady, and every movement is guided by intention. As the designer and metalsmith behind Julie Sims Designs, Julie creates heirloom and custom jewelry that carries story, memory, and meaning in every detail.

What is Julie Sims Designs All About?

Julie Sims Designs is rooted in craftsmanship and connection. Julie specializes in custom and heirloom jewelry, along with a sterling silver line inspired by the beauty of Colorado. With over 20 years in the industry, she’s built her business through referrals and genuine trust - proof of the care she pours into every project. Her motto, “memories worn,” speaks to her belief that jewelry should hold story and honor life’s most meaningful moments.

The Journey to Julie Sims Designs

After decades working in the broader jewelry industry, Julie realized that the work she loved most was never about the mass-market side - it was the human side. The engagement rings. The heirloom redesigns. The pieces filled with history and heart.

Starting her own business gave her space to lean fully into those moments. Today, her clients often come to her during their biggest life chapters - engagements, anniversaries, loss, transition - and Julie meets them with presence, empathy, and artistry.

Her work is less about the metal and more about the meaning.

What Fuels Her Growth?

For Julie, growth has never been about rushing. “Patience and consistency have been the biggest drivers,” she shares. She’s learned that the best things unfold on their own timeline, often right when you’re ready for them.

Education and clarity have also played a major role. Julie focuses on making the custom design process feel calm and approachable, especially during high-stakes, emotional decisions. By building trust through guidance, she creates strong relationships and a client experience that feels truly supportive.
